My Dearest Friends and Family,
Life is not fair, and some people have to navigate far greater challenges than we could ever imagine. Today we are reaching out to all of our friends to help reunite a loving and caring family.
Our building Manager Luis Medina had a stroke about a month ago and is still in a coma. There are some signs of feeling and movement, so we are hopeful he may come out of it. When he does, life will still be an incredible challenge.
Luis' wife, Claudia, was away renewing her work permit in Nicaragua when he suffered the stroke. She has not been able to travel back to the U.S. for which their 10-year old daughter is currently living with Claudia's mother who has a two-year VISA in the US.
The family is reeling from this tragedy and is facing dire circumstances on account of not being able to work.
The LifeCity Team who has been so grateful to work alongside such kind people want to help ease their burden and raise money for their family as they navigate Luis' health condition and Claudia's work permit. These funds will give the family some peace of mind during this terrible time.
Please join us in helping the family with these funds which will help Mr. Medina's family continue to pay their mortgage, navigate legal support to renew Claudia's paperwork, and ensure that their daughter has food, a home, and supplies for school.
All of us who are born in the United States can so easily take for granted the freedoms that we have- including the freedom to simply visit a loved one in the hospital. Please help this family, who has contributed so much to our world, know they belong here.
Thank you for supporting them!
With peace and gratitude,
Liz and the LifeCity Team
