I’m asking for help to reunite my family and bring my mother back home to the United States.

My mom was born in India, and at just eight years old, she was trafficked to the U.S. She grew up here, made a life here, raised her children here, and considered America her home. She built a family and community — she is a mother, grandmother, and a woman who has always cared for others despite the pain she’s carried since childhood.

Years later, during a difficult time in her life, she discovered something devastating: she had been undocumented all along. Although she had lived in the U.S. for decades and even had documents such as an American birth certificate and identification, she was told she wasn’t a legal citizen. Because of that, she was forced to return to India — a country she left as a child and no longer knew.

My mom has now been living in India for many years, alone and struggling. She is very sick and in need of care. As her daughter, I couldn’t leave her there by herself, so I came to be with her. But she needs medical attention, stability, and the chance to come home — to the only home she’s ever really known — the United States.

I am an American citizen, and I am doing everything I can to bring my mom back legally and safely. However, between travel, legal, and medical expenses, the costs are overwhelming. We’re hoping to raise funds to help with:

• Legal fees for immigration and documentation

• Medical care and prescriptions

• Travel costs to bring her home

• Living expenses while we go through this long process

My mom has endured so much — childhood trafficking, loss, separation, and now illness — yet she continues to fight. She deserves a chance to be with her family and live her final years surrounded by love and care.
