A family I care deeply about is facing an urgent and heartbreaking situation. A mother, grandmother, and two young girls are trying to reunite with their husband and father, who was detained in the United States for five months and has since been sent back to his home country. He is now alone, and the family needs to be with him for safety, stability, and the chance to rebuild their lives together. Doing this before Christmas would be an added bonus!

Over the past year, many of you have helped me raise funds so this family could meet their basic needs and secure a lawyer during the father’s detention. Your support made an enormous difference during an incredibly difficult time. Unfortunately, their struggle isn’t over.

The mother and grandmother have been doing everything they can to support the girls, but both earn just above minimum wage and neither have been able to get full-time work. Even with the tightest budgeting, their income barely covers food, rent, and transportation. Saving for four international plane tickets is simply impossible.

I hesitated to ask again because I know many of you have already given so much this year and the bad economy doesn’t help. But this is a genuinely urgent situation. The girls miss their father deeply, and the family is emotionally exhausted from months of instability and separation. On top of that, the mother just had emergency surgery to remove her gallbladder!
