As many of you know, our beloved Reubhan has tragically been taken from us far too soon. Reubhan was a bright light of positivity with a huge heart, bound with an abundance of energy in an insatiable zest for life and all he could extract from every minute of it. Reubhan was loyal and willing to go above and beyond for all those he loved and respected, especially his Mum who he wanted to take care of in her later years. So sadly, this will never be.
We are reaching out so we can help Reubhan's Mum return the care, honour and respect he deserves in his final farewell, to help her with the unexpected costs of funeral services and in transporting him back home to where he grew up, so he can finally be laid to rest where he lived a happy country boy's life in South Australia, where he was born.
As Reubhan equally lived half of his life in two States - fourteen years each in Queensland and South Australia - his Mum recognises that he touched so many lives in both locations and wishes to honour the far reaching impact he had on so many and the friendships he made, in both States.
Given such, there are two funeral services and enormous transportation costs to take him back home.
The costs involved in organising two farewells and transporting Reubhan back to his home town and final resting place, are beyond what his Mum can manage alone, especially during such an incomprehensible time.
Any contributions will be greatly appreciated and will go directly towards:
• A service of celebration on the Sunshine Coast
• Transporting Reubhan from Queensland to South Australia
• Services in South Australia and at his final resting place
• Suitable Coffin
• Embalming as a result of delays in legal processes
• A Hearse in South Australia
• Venues for two farewell wakes
• Cultural Ceremony costs, etc.
Any support you can provide to help ease the burden upon Reubhan's Mum during her time of unbearable grief over the loss of her beautiful son, is greatly appreciated, no matter how big or small.
Once Reubhan's Mum is able to get enough funds to cover the plans for the initial services mentioned above, she will update us all with details of each service as they unfold, hopefully in the coming week.
Reubhan's Mum is looking forward to sharing memories and hearing stories about her baby boy from everyone who knew and loved him, and wants to invite them to come and celebrate Reubhan in a group ceremony with her, at the wake.
