(Español abajo) Early on November 6th, Reuben was taken by ICE as he was dropping off Sulma, his wife, and heading to work, leaving behind Sulma and two children, Ashley (16) and Alexa (19).

Reuben has been here for 23 years and has no criminal record. With Ashley in high school and Alexa in trade school, the three are doing what they can, but without Reuben’s income, it will be challenging to cover basic needs, let alone the legal fees that will be necessary to fight Reuben's detainment and deportation. The family has been able to speak with him over the phone while he is detained in Virginia, but the legal fees for his upcoming court appearances are expensive.
