Education is the life-blood of Progress!

Hey there, my name is Reuben, and I am a disabled person who has been accepted into a Masters program and awarded a substantial scholarship. This program is concentrating on Religion and Trauma, and how to facilitate healing. My hope is to become a Chaplain for those who have experienced religious trauma, as well as educating clergy in how to interact with the religiously traumatized. By earning this Masters of Divinity I can find work that is meaningful and affords a survivable wage, thereby getting off of SSDI!

My scholarship covers about half of my tuition, but I still need to come up with the other half for this semester, as well as be able to afford supplies and books. I'm working with social services to find funding, but the timing is super-tight for them and I didn't have the opportunity to apply for other scholarships for this semester. This campaign is to raise funds for the first semester so that I can start my Masters program and have time to arrange other funding since Student Loans are not an option at this time.

Chaplaincy is a literal life-long dream for me, and I would LOVE to see this happen! Please help make my dream come true, and help me get the credentials that will get me off government programs.
