After three months on the streets of Los Angeles, traveling across busy streets and miraculously never being hit by a car…. after outsmarting many people because he didn’t trust that anyone was actually going to help him, we were finally able to secure him. He is now with German Shepherd rescue of Orange County, even though they are over capacity they agreed to take him in. I mean, who wouldn't after hearing his story? They are fully vetting him, but above all that, they are helping to re-socialize him with dogs and humans and work through the trauma of being abandoned at 5 months.
None of this would be possible without Sylva. She has spent the longest time trying to catch him and put countless hours into Liam. I have seen her sending out money to anyone who'd seen him just to make sure if he was in the area he would be fed. None of this would have been possible without her, yet all she had to express is gratitude to ask those who have helped:
"Liam (his new name because it means survivor) has been rescued! Thank you to everyone who helped us track the German Shepherd that had been dumped near USC and made his way to the Adams area and then to the Leimert area and back to USC. He is truly a miracle dog! He is now safe and will be fully vetted and will need some training. We would like to raise $1200. Liam's story brought so many people from different cultures together to help him and the woman who spearheaded his rescue will be writing a book about it, called - LIAM, The Miraculous Journey, Survival, and Rescue of a Beloved L.A. Street Dog. We appreciate any financial help you can give. THANK YOU!"
Thank you for everything you all have done and thank you for helping to return the kindness.
