Please help secure Laxmi’s well being and last wishes
Donation protected
Laxmi (Charlene Geraci), a devotee of Amma since 1984 and a former resident of Amma’s ashram in India, has been suffering from progressive dementia. She has no financial resources nor living family. Currently she is living in a nursing home as a ward of the state. The nursing home has few resources and Laxmi spends most of her time in a bed. She needs a suitable reclining chair so that she can spend time out of bed each day. Funds are needed to provide a chair.
Laxmi prays that upon her death, she will be cremated and her ashes returned to Amritapuri for spiritual disposal. If the state provides for her body to be cremated, her ashes will not be given to her Amma sisters.
For Laxmi’s ashes to be returned to Amritapuri, she must be able to pay for the cremation. Her Amma sisters here in Georgia are asking for donations so that a cremation trust can be established and funds are available for a chair. At the time of her death, the trust will pay for the cremation and allow for her ashes to be given to us. We will make arrangements to return Laxmi’s earthly remains to her spiritual family in the sacred land of Amritpuri. By Amma’s grace, Laxmi will be home at last. Om Namah Shivaya, Amala, Sundari, and Uma
