Felicidad Yamog (Fely), 65, a loving wife to Welfredo, mother of 3 beautiful daughters (Sarah, Ann, Katrina), and grandmother to 3 beautiful young children (Samantha, Keinsler, Mio) has been battling liver cancer since 2017 and on priority donor list.
On August 2, Fely received a call notifying her and family that a liver became available for transplant. She and family were overjoyed, knowing this opportunity may result in prolonging her life allowing her to spend more time with family and grandchildren.
Fely and Ann immediately prepared for air ambulance as the procedure is scheduled to take place in Toronto General Hospital. Sarah, who was on vacation with her family (Al, Samantha, Keinsler) in the Philippines heard the news and prayed for successful procedure. Katrina, Welfredo, Clarence, Mio also prayed for the procedure to go well. However, on Aug 3, first day of surgery the family were informed about complications which forced them to travel from Winnipeg & Philippines to Toronto in emergency basis to be with her.
Fely was a fighter, she underwent surgery for 2 days, unfortunately, her body could not handle multiple procedures and on Aug 5th at 2pm (Toronto) she passed away leaving her family.
The Yamog family are asking for help in covering the cost of bringing her remains back to Winnipeg, as well as cost involving funeral.
Any donation, big or small, or a simple kind words such as "condolence" are welcome. The Yamog family extends their gratitude in advance.
Thank you.
