On September 30th, a 6.9 earthquake struck Cebu, Philippines, which left my family struggling. In the aftermath, torrential rain, floods, a lack of supplies, and government aid have left my family sleeping under tarps without any warmth or comfort.
The house that was destroyed in the earthquake is home to four generations, from great-grand aunts and uncles to baby cousins living in the backyard next to the ruins of our family home. We need blankets, food, baby food, clean water, and basic necessities that the government cannot provide for us.
My family is just one of many that are trying to rebuild. These photos are just a sliver of what the devastation is, but I cannot put into words what my family has gone through.
Every donation that is given can help out in a big way. From giving $5 to $100, each gift matters and will ensure that hope is possible for my family.
Support is what we need; any donation can help us rebuild, but also make a stand with the Philippines.
