Help Save My Dad’s Welder From Auction

My welder is an older version of the one in the picture and goes for around $10,000.

we did it! We raised half the bill! Going to try and raise the rest so I can focus more on my dad and getting caught up from being behind on rent this month. Thank you to everyone who is has helped in anyway make this happe !! My heart and creative mind over floweth

Unfortunately, I got behind on my storage payments juggling too many responsibilities with caregiving, work, health issues, and life’s chaos in general. To make matters more challenging, my sweet boxer Lucy had to be put to sleep the other week and that was another unplanned expense.

Tom Thumb Storage in Roseburg knows what I have been dealing with and has graciously taken my welder out of the auction it was scheduled for and is giving me until the end of the month to make good on my bill. I have found a friend who will help me go retrieve the welder if I rent a Uhaul trailer. This has been the biggest struggle with getting my welder to my current shop. It is HEAVY, and I cannot move it alone. Understandably, most people don’t want to volunteer to move this behemoth, so in storage it has sat for the last six months.

Anything helps, and I would really appreciate being able to use my dad’s welder to make metal sculptures and gates with. He lovingly gave me all of his tools for me to use for my art, which is making me tear up while I type this, because I don’t think he would have ever thought to do that when I was growing up, and it really means a lot to me that he believes in me. I’ve managed to get the other 1,000s of pounds of various tools relocated from Nevada here to Oregon, and this welder is the final piece to my shop.
