Zoe and Milo have been the light of my life as they so gracefully have flowed through every stage of life with me. Every job, every apartment, every heartbreak, every ounce of joy & every emotion in between, they have seen it all. They would walk through any fire with me. They have been grounding teachers and have guided me into the person I am today. Zoe has aged beautifully. At 15, she still walks 1 mile each day, jumps on the couch and loves a good snuggle. She developed a cataract slowly in her right eye over the last year and a half and recently has developed a cataract in her left eye. Due to losing her vision, she has become more anxious & confused. She bumps into things, gets lost in a corner of the house, can't find the pee pad at night & looks for me constantly if I'm not nearby. Watching her lose her vision & become disoriented has been heartbreaking. I would love to restore her vision and give her the quality of her elder years she deserves. The testing (ocular ultrasound) is $1500. If she is a candidate for surgery, that is $6500. We've already spent over $800 on bloodwork, X-rays and urinalysis, all of which look good.
