Help Whitehorn Cove Marina Rebuild After Devastating Storm Damage
For generations, Whitehorn Cove Marina has been more than just a marina—it has been a gathering place, a destination, and a second home for countless families who have made memories on Fort Gibson Lake. Whether you stopped in for fuel, tied up your boat for lunch, enjoyed a meal overlooking the water, or simply spent time with friends, Whitehorn Cove has been a special part of lake life for many years.
On June 25, disaster struck.
A suspected funnel cloud tore through the marina, leaving behind extensive damage. The high-water walkway and bathroom facilities broke away from the main building. Windows were blown out. The gas dock sustained significant damage, and several slip rental docks broke loose. The destruction has forced the marina to face major repairs and an uncertain future.
For the Holt family, this storm is only the latest challenge in an incredibly difficult journey.
Three years ago, Brian and his family purchased Whitehorn Cove Marina with a dream of restoring and revitalizing this beloved landmark. Since then, they have poured their heart, soul, countless hours, and significant financial resources into improving the marina for everyone who visits.
Unfortunately, Mother Nature has had other plans.
Back-to-back summers of historic flooding have already created enormous financial strain, delaying improvements and impacting business. Then, in December, Brian was diagnosed with stomach cancer. As he focused on treatments and recovery, the family’s renovation efforts understandably slowed. Despite every obstacle, they have remained committed to serving the lake community they love.
Now, this devastating storm has created another overwhelming setback.
We’re asking our friends, neighbors, customers, and the entire Fort Gibson Lake community to come together and help the Holt family rebuild. Every donation—no matter the size—will help cover repair costs, insurance deductibles, lost business income, and the expenses required to get Whitehorn Cove Marina operating again.
If you’ve ever shared a meal at the marina, filled your boat with fuel before a day on the lake, celebrated with friends on the dock, or simply believe in supporting a hardworking family facing unimaginable challenges, we ask that you consider donating.
If you’re unable to give financially, please share this campaign with others. Your prayers, encouragement, and support mean more than you know.
Together, we can help ensure that Whitehorn Cove Marina continues to be a place where memories are made for generations to come.
Thank you for supporting the Holt family and helping keep Whitehorn Cove Marina afloat.
My Name is Jaycee and i have set up this fundraiser for my work family (Brian Holt Owner) and the community i love. These funds will go towards rebuilding the marina better than it was before the devastating damages.
