Help Restore Vision: Support Needed for Surgery

My eye was impacted by a piece of metal shrapnel 2 years ago at work. Workers' Comp has been taking care of the treatments, but now I need surgery. My left eye has a small scar on the cornea causing astigmatism, and behind that, a small cataract has formed. While the astigmatism is annoying, the cataract is now affecting my vision as it has grown over the last few months.

If I go with "standard" cataract surgery (medically necessary), Workers' Comp would pay for it, insurance would pay for it, but of course, my eye requires more. Getting my eye back to where it was requires laser surgery and a better lens. The lens will still be able to move and correct focus for most vision ranges, and the laser surgery can correct the astigmatism, but I may still need glasses.

This is going to cost $3,500 worth of upgrades to do it right with the best possible outcome. I've secured $2,000 of it, but I'm still short $1,500.

To keep the current schedule, payment is due May 8th to facilitate surgery on May 22nd. I know this is short notice; any help is appreciated. Thank you!!
