Help Restore Hindu Temple Greater Cleveland Ohio
On the afternoon of Friday, October 2, 2026, Shree Swaminarayan Hindu Temple Vadtaldham Cleveland in Richmond Heights, Ohio was damaged when bricks were thrown at the building, shattering windows while priests and devotees were inside. Thankfully, no one was hurt, but this was a painful and frightening moment for a temple that has been a place of prayer, service, and community for families across Greater Cleveland for the past two years. The attack came at the beginning of Navratri and during Hindu Heritage Month, a time when the community gathers in faith and celebration. Local authorities are investigating, and the temple is grateful for their response. Out of respect for that process, the organizers are asking everyone to allow the investigation to run its course.
Funds from this fundraiser will help Shree Swaminarayan Hindu Temple Vadtaldham Cleveland replace shattered windows, repair the entryway and other damage to the building, and make important safety improvements, including perimeter fencing, security cameras, and lighting. These repairs and upgrades will help restore a safe and welcoming place where people can worship, celebrate, and come together in peace. The temple is deeply grateful to neighbors, friends, and fellow faith communities who have already reached out with support. Please consider donating if you are able, and if not, sharing this fundraiser would also mean so much. Every act of support will help this community heal and reopen its doors with strength and hope.
