Help Restore Tim and Erica's Home After Texas Flood

Please consider helping our son and daughter-in-law, Timothy and Erica Boore with flood recovery after the 4th of July Texas flood. As a parents in California, it is very difficult to watch our child go through this difficult situation so far away. My husband and I are trying to do whatever we can to help restore them to a livable and healthy home. Tim and Erica are both California natives and moved to Texas when Tim, a Staff Sergeant with the Marine Corps, was recently stationed in San Angelo.

Late on July 3rd, Tim and Erica arrived in California to visit their 91 and 94-year-old grandparents for the holiday weekend. After only a few hours of sleep, they were awoken by their neighbor alerting them of the flood. They immediately changed flight tickets and headed back home. When they arrived, the damage was far worse than they expected. Aside from damaged personal items, the major need will be to make their home habitable again. This will most likely include replacing all floors throughout the house, demo on the bottom half of the entire home and repairing the damage, replacing most of their appliances, repair of the air conditioning unit, which was pulled off its base, and some basic furniture.

Unfortunately, when they contacted their insurance, they were told that their homeowner’s policy will not cover any of the damages or loss and they will need to bear the burden of the cost of repairs on their own. As a military couple, this will be a struggle. Please consider assisting them with bringing their home back to livable conditions.
