Dear friends, neighbors, and community members,
In the afternoon hours of 04/16/26, our community lost a beloved spot. A tragic, unexpected fire destroyed Tiptons’ Logging and Sawmill, taking with it decades of hard work, irreplaceable equipment, the livelihood of three generations.
As many of you know, Tiptons’ Logging and Sawmill was more than just a business – it was a staple of our community. They often donated services to neighbors and local organizations, such as repairing the bleacher seats at the local high school. Seeing it destroyed in a matter of hours is heartbreaking.
They are now facing the overwhelming task of rebuilding from the ground up. The immediate costs to replace machinery, remove debris and support their staff are immense.
We are reaching out to ask for a “hand up” rather than a handout. They have always been there for us; now it is our turn to be there for them.
Every donation, no matter the size, brings them one step closer to bringing Tiptons’ Logging & Sawmill back to life. If you are unable to donate, please share this page to spread the word.
Thank you for your kindness, generosity, and support during this incredibly difficult time.
