Help Us Revive a Historic Treasure and Give Back to Our Community!
We are on an exciting journey to restore the historic Aitken Estate and transform it into a dynamic, vibrant event space for our community. Your generous donations will help us breathe new life into this cherished piece of history, while also enabling the creation of a stunning 4,000-square-foot greenhouse venue. This space will become a hub for events, gatherings, and local initiatives, and we want YOU to be a part of this incredible transformation!
But this is more than just about restoring a building—it’s about building a future filled with hope and giving. Every dollar you donate will help us restore the estate and create the greenhouse venue, and once we’re up and running, we are committed to donating the funds raised back into the community over time. We’ll support incredible local non-profits like Clara’s Hope , Sleep in Heavenly Peace , and Cans 4 Kids , ensuring that the legacy of your generosity continues to uplift those in need for years to come. By donating, you're not just helping us preserve history—you’re making a lasting impact on the lives of people who need it most.
Here’s How Your Donation Will Make a Difference:
Restoring the Aitken Estate: Help us bring new life to this beautiful, historic property and ensure it is preserved for future generations to enjoy.
Building the Greenhouse Venue: Your support will help us create a versatile 4,000-square-foot greenhouse space that will serve as a welcoming venue for community events, celebrations, and more.
Supporting Local Non-Profits: Once we are up and running, we will donate the funds raised back to the community, continuing the cycle of giving and making a positive impact over time.
What You Can Expect:
Transparency: We believe in keeping you in the loop every step of the way! Expect regular updates, progress photos, behind-the-scenes videos, and inspiring stories from our restoration journey. Most updates will be shared via our social media accounts, so you’ll get to see firsthand how your donation is helping us bring this vision to life!
Connection: Your support means more than just a donation. It connects you to something bigger—a mission to restore history, create a new space within the community, and later on, help uplift those in need and raise awareness for local causes that are making a real difference.
A Special Thank You Just for You: As a token of our gratitude for your incredible support, any donation over $300 will earn you two exclusive invitations to our Grand Opening Black Tie Banquet! Join us for an unforgettable evening as we unveil the Aitken Estate and showcase the new greenhouse venue. It will be a night of celebration, community, and new beginnings—and we’d be honored to have you there!
Please Note:
While we are deeply grateful for every contribution, we want to be transparent about the platform fees. GoFundMe charges a platform fee of approximately 5.9% per donation. To ensure the maximum amount of your donation goes directly toward the restoration and greenhouse project, we will deduct this fee before using the funds for start-up and restoration costs. We appreciate your understanding and support as we continue to bring this dream to life!
Every donation, no matter the size, makes a lasting difference. Together, we can restore the Aitken Estate, create a new venue space within the community, and support the important work of non-profits such as: Clara’s Hope, Sleep in Heavenly Peace, and Cans 4 Kids.

A little about the house:
The Aitken Estate, built in 1843 by Robert P. Aitken, a prominent farmer and community leader, is a stunning example of Italianate architecture. Featuring a distinctive cupola, elegant scrollwork, and Greek Revival additions, the estate has stood the test of time. Aitken himself served as Flint Township Supervisor and Michigan legislator, making this estate not just a home but a part of the region's rich history. Listed on the National Register of Historic Places in 1982, the Aitken Estate is now ready for restoration. It’s time to bring her back to life and ensure she continues to shine for another couple of hundred years, preserving both her beauty and legacy for generations to come.
