Hurricane Helene's storm surge destroyed the possessions of many homes in St. Pete Beach Florida, specifically in the neighborhood of Belle Vista. My mother's home received over 4 ft of water that has ruined nearly all of her home and possessions. Her home is located right on the intercostal waters off of Belle Vista Drive East.

Unfortunately, she has been unable to afford flood insurance and will not be able to make an insurance claim for the damages and losses. She is heart broken and distraught as the home has been in her family for over 40 years. The home is filled with many memories of her parents and numerous family vacations. She is 75 years old and would like to return to the home.

It is my hope and prayer that St. Pete Beach and the Belle Vista community will return back just as beautiful as it was. This is only temporary, St. Pete Strong!
