Help With Restoration Work At St.Munis's Church
Donation protected
Growing up in a small parish generally means you have visited the church at some point.
Baptisms, Weddings, Funerals and Holidays, it is a place where the community comes together to celebrate happy and sad events.
In St.Munis's in Forgney, we are a very small congregation but we have had many of these events that have left us with memories that are cherished.
Today, we are asking for your help to fund the restoration of some of the features in St.Munis's Church in Forgney including some work to the stained glass windows and the front of the church.

We have one very unique stained glass window in the church made in 1897 by Watson & Co. in Youghal. The window commemorates the celebrated playwright Oliver Goldsmith, who was born a short distance to the north of our church at Pallas in 1728.
His father was the Rev. Charles Goldsmith, he administered from 1718 to 1730 at the church and this is also where Oliver was baptised.

To restore St Munis to be weathertight and protected and to ensure the continued safety of the windows for future generations to enjoy, we need to raise €30,000
We hope that you could spare a few euros, no matter how small to help us reach this lofty goal.
