Sean Roe is a 58-year-old man who has been my friend for over 35 years. We first met through my sign business, Signtalk Graphix, when he approached me for sponsorship for his 1992 Corvette Race Car. I was immediately impressed by his determination to compete in the Bridgestone SuperCar IMSA Series on a shoestring budget. Our shared love of cars sparked a friendship that has only grown stronger over the years—Sean is truly my brother in every sense of the word.

Recently, Sean’s life took a devastating turn. What started as a suspected sinus infection quickly escalated into something far more serious. After a series of doctor visits and a frightening seizure on his 10th wedding anniversary, Sean was diagnosed with grade 4 Glioblastoma, the most aggressive form of brain cancer. The tumor was removed, but a root remains, and he now faces a prognosis of just 12 to 18 months. Despite this, Sean’s spirit remains unbroken, and he is determined to make the most of the time he has left.

One of Sean’s last wishes is to restore his beloved 1993 John Greenwood G383 Race Corvette—a car that brought him so much joy and success, and which played a central role in our friendship. The car, which had been badly damaged in a racing accident and sat in pieces for years, represents Sean’s passion and perseverance. I have already invested my own funds to start the restoration, but there is still much to do and time is short. With your help, we can rebuild this car and donate it to a sports car museum, creating a lasting tribute to Sean’s incredible journey.
