Help Restore Roger's Sight and Livelihood

Hello, this isn’t easy. My husband Roger was diagnosed with severe Cataracts. In typical fashion, he never let on about how bad his vision was getting. Roger is a hard worker and never complains. When he failed the vision test trying to get his Michigan Drivers License, I knew something was very wrong. We were referred to the eye doctor (paid out of pocket for the visit), and that’s when we found out how bad it was. Surgery is his only option. We lost our health insurance in June and his vision insurance doesn’t cover it. We have surgery scheduled for Feb 2nd and March 3rd and the cost is 6400.00, plus he will miss work for one week for each surgery which is why I am requesting 7500.00.

Those who know Roger know how Prideful he is and so I have not told him about this fund raiser. He never asks for help he only gives it. However, if he can’t see, he can’t work and currently he is the only one of us who is working as I had to stop working in June.

I know this is a huge ask and I too am uneasy about asking for help but we are desperate.
