Hi, I’m asking for help during a really difficult moment in my life. My father moved out and left me with a Con Edison balance that has grown beyond what I can manage. I’ve done everything I could to keep up with payments, but after recently being laid off from work, I no longer had the means to keep up — and my electricity was shut off. I applied for emergency assistance, but the help I received wasn’t enough to get my power restored.

I’m expected to return to work soon, but right now I’m without electricity and struggling to cover the reconnection costs and balance. I’m trying to raise most of the amount needed so I can get my lights back on and stabilize while I get back on my feet.
