Donate to help Tanellya and her children turn their power back on in their home and save their Section 8 Voucher.
We asking for donations of $25, $50, and $100 or more to get to our goal by October 1, 2024
Dear Lord, amidst the trials and tribulations of financial hardship, let Your peace, which surpasses all understanding, guard our hearts and minds in Christ Jesus (Philippians 4:7). May we not lose heart, but rather persevere in prayer, knowing that You are our ever-present help in times of need.
It has been since August 27, 2024, that we have gone without electricity in our home. PG&E disrupted our electricity service for a past due balance of $1,570.97 and refuses to do a payment plan for the balance and will not qualify me for the AMP Program.
I was wrongly terminated from my job in July and was denied unemployment insurance benefits. While I wait for my opportunity to appeal, I have been living off of the help of the county, which is roughly $1,100/month total.
My children and I have gone over 4 weeks and counting with no lights in our home. No way to cook or store food or for my children to charge their devices to do homework. All of our refrigerated and frozen foods perished, and we had to throw out everything.
The toll this has on our mental health is devastating, but we remain faithful that God has already seen this through and He continues to supply our needs.
Despite my relentless efforts to get help from various nonprofits and organizations, I have not yet met the amount required to restore service.
To make matters even worse, I am in violation of my terms with my Housing Voucher and am now at risk of losing my voucher. I would like to move closer to my family in Arizona and take my voucher with me, but this would require all my rent balance of $300 to be paid in full.
How the funds will be used:
$1,570.97 - PG&E past due to restore service
$685.00 - PG&E due 9/25 (so it remains on)
$300.00 - Past Due Rent
