Instead, I've been surviving on peanut butter and jelly sandwiches, which are not safe for my health. My grandson DJ also needs regular breathing treatments, and we've had to go to the library just so he can get the care he needs. The ambulance has come to our home several times because my blood sugar keeps dropping dangerously low.

I trusted someone to help pay the electric bill while I covered the rent, cable, and phone. Unfortunately, they did not pay the bill, and when the power was shut off, they left us behind. I have reached out to local organizations for help, but so far, no one has been able to assist us. I am not asking for money for myself—I just want to restore power for my grandchildren's health and safety.
