Help Restore Power and Hope for Our Family

I'm Jennifer Baker from Punta Gorda, Florida. My family desperately needs help. On 9/26/2024, we were impacted by Hurricane Helene. A tree broke and landed on our power line, which snapped the post with our equipment and meter attached, leaving us without power and water. FPL can't reconnect the power without it being replaced. Insurance will cover it if we pay a $10,000 hurricane deductible. The repairs are only $3,000, but it's $3,000 more than we have.

We have been staying at Dale's work the last week, but they have rented out the 1 bedroom that we are staying in, and now we have nowhere to go but back to the house with no power or water. We have 2 children and pets that need power, water, and A/C. We have wonderful family that are willing to help out; however, we are still short by $1,500.

I know a lot of people can't help right now because they are going through it too, but if anybody can help just a little, I would be absolutely grateful. We are in full panic mode and don't know what else to do. A little bit can add up. Thank you!
