The Couple still manages to smile despite facing a tough road ahead.

Unfortunately in the recent Queensland bush fires, pensioners Denise and Tony Welch lost their lychee farm which consisted of about 1200 trees which was apart of the couples superannuation plan. In the early 80's the couple planted their first lychee tree. When they first moved onto the farm there was nothing there, they had spent these past almost 40 years planting and farming over 1000 lychee crops and with-in a day all of their hard work has turned to ashes.

"Virtually this farm was our superannuation, we don't have anything else so we have to resurrect it. If we retire and leave than this was the money that we had to buy somewhere else and live on for the rest of our lives" - Denise Welch

If you would like to help in any way to get Tony and Denise back on their feet please share this story and donation towards this cause. every cent counts. Thank you.
