Help Restore Our School Community Garden

Update to the story!!
I reached out today to purchase 14 yards of soil from Robinson's soil in Auburn, CA. They decided that they would donate the soil and asked that I use the donated funds to purchase other things that I need in the garden. I really do need a lot more in the garden, including: weed mat, bark, a shed, tomato cages, seedlings, and most likely I will need more soil because according to Clay’s calculations, I only ordered enough for 5 rows and I have 10 rows! I just wanted to let all of my donor's know that I am getting some of the soil donated by Robinson's Soil and Gravel in Auburn.

If you no longer want to donate because of this update, I completely understand and you can get a refund of your donation. If you keep your donation, I promise that it will be used to help with our garden.

The Foresthill High School Community/School Garden has been a source of pride and nourishment for our school and local community since 2014. Each season, our garden has produced pounds of fresh fruits and vegetables, most of which are donated to families in need and used in our school’s agriculture classes and FFA program. The garden has become a hands-on classroom for our students and a vital resource for our neighbors.

Unfortunately, last year was especially challenging. Our garden’s production dropped dramatically, and we were unable to donate much to the community. We believe this is because our soil has become exhausted and overrun with weeds. To address this, we took the big step of removing the top five inches of weed-infested soil from our garden beds. Now, we need your help to purchase 14 yards of healthy, nutrient-rich soil so we can restore our garden and bring it back to life.

With your support, we can revitalize the Foresthill High School Community/School Garden. The new soil will help us grow fresh produce to share with our community and provide valuable learning experiences for our students. Thank you for supporting our efforts to provide access to fresh, organic food and to help our students learn and grow through agriculture.
