When Hurricane Helene struck us, we were more fortunate than others. We didn't lose anybody; we didn't lose our house. A year later though, we as a community are still trying to take care of the extensive damage. Our family had light flooding in comparison to others, but the issues were deeper than we thought and took way too long to find out about. As you can see in the photos, we no longer have a dishwasher! Instead, there is a great gaping hole where the wood of our kitchen floor is practically mud. With every contractor in town being constantly busy since Helene, we didn't get our quote until very recently. It's a lot worse than we expected. The floor is rotten, as our dishwasher almost fell into our laundry room. Our cabinets will need to be ripped out and the entire kitchen floor redone. In the past, we have never asked for money. When we needed it, we would launch a new product or run a sale on our website. This time, however, the need is more urgent-- and not an amount we can reasonably make on our own. If you can help us in any way, we greatly appreciate it.
