I’m reaching out because my parents and I have lost our home to Hurricane Helene. This isn’t just a house it’s the place where I grew up, played in the yard with my brother, and made memories that I thought would last a lifetime. Now, it’s all gone.

My childhood home was made unlivable because of the hurricane. The memories I’ve made here are irreplaceable, and seeing our home destroyed like this has been an overwhelming pain. Watching my parents’ faces as they saw the house they worked so hard for knocked off its foundation and flooded was something I never thought I’d have to experience.
