Our family cabin started out with the pioneers. The Bay family had their lumber mill in which they started the first log cabin on our family's ranch. My great granddad and his brothers bought it from them in the 1930s and used to run his cows up there. He restored the old pioneer cabin and built four more cabins on the land so it would be a family property to gather and enjoy.
Recently, the Cottonwood Fire near Beaver Mountain swept through our ranch, destroying everything in its path. The fire moved so quickly that firefighters couldn’t even get fire breaks up in time. Our four-generation ranch, with all five cabins and the surrounding land, was lost in a matter of hours. The devastation has left our family heartbroken, but we are determined to restore what we can and keep our family’s legacy alive.
We are asking for support to help us clean up the property, rebuild the cabins, and restore the land—including planting grass, trees, and shrubbery. Any help you can give will make a huge difference as we work to bring our family’s gathering place back to life. Thank you for being part of our journey to rebuild and heal.
