A fire that recently destroyed 2 beloved businesses in Uptown Lexington, on May 19, 2026, caused severe water and smoke damage to our restaurant, Main Street Pizza & Deli, which my family has owned and operated on Main Street since the 80’s. We have lost all of our inventory and equipment as well as dining room fixtures, like our tall booths we’ve all sat in since we were kids. The restaurant will have to be fully gutted down to the concrete and brick shell as well as most likely having to replace our entire roof.
