Help Bring the Spirit of Dog’s Day Out to Back to Life in Vermont!
Dear Friends,
I’m reaching out with an open heart and a renewed sense of purpose. As many of you know, Dog’s Day Out was more than just a dog daycare facility—it was a community, a safe haven, and a joyful place for our four-legged family members. Its sudden closure left a hole not just in my life, but in the lives of many families and dogs who relied on it.
Now, I’m ready to build something new—something rooted in the same love, care, and spirit that made Dog’s Day Out so special.
With access to land in Hyde Park, Vermont, I’m planning to create a new dog care facility from the ground up. The heart of this project is a 24x60 prefabricated kennel that will offer 14 to 16(depending on size) thoughtfully designed spaces—half for overnight boarding, half for daycare. The focus will be on a primarily outdoor experience, where dogs can run, play, and just be dogs, with enriching indoor spaces available for rainy days or quiet time.
This will be a small, manageable, and deeply personal operation—with room to grow. I’ll be offering daycare, overnight and day boarding (including for visiting dogs or those who need a quieter environment), and even bath services. It’s all being built with the same dedication, heart, and love that shaped my previous work.
But here’s the truth: I’m doing this on my own. Starting from scratch takes courage, and it also takes help. That’s why I’m asking my community—those who’ve seen what we can build together—to help me bring this dream to life.
Every donation, no matter the size, brings us one step closer to opening our doors. Your support will directly fund the kennel, the play area, and the essentials to get this new venture off the ground.
Let’s give our dogs a place they deserve—safe, joyful, and full of love. Let’s rebuild, together.
With deep gratitude,
Chad
