Help restore my uncle’s sight

Hi everyone, I'm reaching out to ask for your support for my uncle, who is struggling with cataracts. His vision has deteriorated significantly, he can only see 20% out of one eye and 65% out of the other. This is impacting his daily life, and he needs surgery to restore his vision.

Normally, cataract surgery costs around £1500-£2000 per eye. However, we found a clinic outside the capital that occasionally offers lower-cost operations for people with limited financial resources. This clinic can perform the surgery for $900 per eye (about £680). Our immediate goal is to raise enough funds for surgery on one eye, which would greatly improve his quality of life. We plan to save up for the second eye surgery in the future.

In addition to the surgery cost, the funds will also help cover transportation and pre and post surgery check ups, ensuring he gets the best possible care.
