Help Restore My Mobility

Two things I love: international travel and hiking in the Colorado mountains. These pictures were taken in 2023, shortly before I woke up one morning in significant pain, a moment that began a journey of limited mobility, countless doctor visits and tests, and very little relief or clear answers.

After a year and a half of X-rays, MRIs, physical therapy, and consultations with different types of doctors, I still don’t have a definitive diagnosis. It has been physically, mentally, and emotionally exhausting and frustrating. I still cannot walk well or far. I’ve still traveled for work but it’s been a slower and in some cases painful process. As someone who loves being active this has been difficult.

Earlier this year, I was referred to a new non-surgical orthopedic. After more tests and MRIs, the conclusion was that PRP (Platelet-Rich Plasma)therapy might be a viable solution. I’m now working with my local doctor and a large clinic in Denver to receive these treatments in my hip and spine. Unfortunately, these treatments are not covered by insurance and are very costly.

If I can regain even a small portion of my ability to travel and hike, it will be worth it, but after all the medical expenses of the past two years, I’m going to need some help. Thank you for journeying with me on this.
