I bought a house nearly 5 years ago with intentions to renovate it and live in it. Having my own home was one of my biggest goals. I encountered 2 terrible contractors along the way that derailed my progress. The contractors gave me their word that they would complete the project with quality and efficiency, and I trusted them. Though I learned a lot in the process, my naivety of home renovations was exploited. I felt taken advantage of and scammed out of thousands of dollars. Still, I pressed on. I finally found a good one that could get me to the finish line, and he did. But because of the initial contractor's inefficiency, I was forced to finish the project out of pocket, exhausting all of my 401k, savings and credit card limits. By January 2025, all I needed was BGE to connect the gas and electric services and I would be move in ready. My dream was nearly in my grasp. But on January 18th, 2025, I walked into my home to find a devasting sight. There was a waterfall coming through the kitchen ceiling. The fitting on the water line in the 3rd floor bathroom came off and flooded a portion of all the levels below, leaving thousands of dollars in repairs. Seeing the destruction of the flood left me crushed. Heartbroken.

I am asking for your help in getting to the finish line, as this situation has left me with thousands of dollars of debt. All the funds will go to repairing all damages to drywall, paint, carpeting and structure. In addition, the funds will also go to covering the expenses incurred by restoration and mold mitigation services.
