Mr. John is a local veteran who has always had a big heart, especially when it comes to animals. Recently, he rescued a dog named Molly, not knowing she was pregnant. Molly soon gave birth to ten puppies, and while Mr. John was able to find loving homes for six of them, four puppies and Molly are still with him. Unfortunately, the dogs have caused significant damage to his home—chewing through walls, doors, and floors. The back door is now dangerously damaged, and the puppies have even managed to eat through the wall in the front bedroom, making it easy for them to get out.
A group of us—five women and two gentlemen—have come together to help Mr. John. We’ve secured his porch so he can get in and out safely, and we’ve tried to keep the puppies contained with a thick board. Despite our efforts, the damage is extensive, and the smell in the house is overwhelming. We’ve set up an account at our local supply store, but so far, we’ve only received one donation.
We are reaching out to the community for help. Mr. John needs wood, new doors, new flooring, and new walls to repair his home. Industrial cleaning supplies are also needed to address the severe odor. We would love to build him a new ramp so he can move safely in and out of his house. All of this work is being done by volunteers at no cost to Mr. John, and we are earning his trust every day. Any support you can offer will help us restore Mr. John’s home and give him and Molly a safe, comfortable place to live. Thank you for considering a donation to help a veteran and his loyal companion.
