Help Restore Kalyn's Smile

Dear Friends and Family,

I need your help. On November 22nd I broke my front, left tooth off. I went to the dentist and they alerted me that there wasn't enough tooth left to put a crown on it. In order to get back to my exuberant smile, I'll have to get a bridge or an implant. And, along with that I'll need to build up and repair the surrounding teeth. With the price of healthcare in the United States being exorbitantly high as well as having gone through some unfortunate events that have drained my savings, I am at my wits ends trying to figure out how to make it work. So, I’m reaching out to my community to try to find a better way.

On one hand, I am fairly talented at budgeting and saving funds slowly but surely. My skills are of the humble variety. I am willing to exchange my time taking care of children, cooking, or cleaning to raise some money towards my cause. I like to paint, crochet, and create string art and am willing to offer my art for commission as well. Every bit that you donate will help towards me getting my smile back.

The first few days were disorienting. I woke up in the morning feeling like my tooth had fallen away, as if it were a bad dream, but it was my ever-enduring reality. I unconsciously tongue the void where my tooth used to be. My smile was my confidence. My smile was my expression of joy. I want my smile back.

On the other hand, I have a few friends who have given me advice. I appreciate you care and concern. I am trying to weigh my options the best that I can. I mostly ask for you to be patient and soft with me. And if you can spare $15, $50, $100, or any amount, know that I will use it to take the best care of myself. I have recently recovered from a thyroid storm. I abstained from alcohol for 45 days, started eating clean and healthy, exercised regularly, and I know that if I can make that many changes in myself and give myself the best opportunity to heal, then I can accomplish anything.
