Help Restore Joy for a Brave Little Girl

Donation protected
My beautiful daughter with ASD has experienced a traumatizing situation. She lost almost all of her hair in a week for unexplained reasons. I'm raising money to get her wigs because she has such a huge personality and is so very special.

Here is our story

At first, we spoke with two doctors and went to the ER and got referred to a dermatologist, but not until August. She's been on risperidone for about a year but was getting off it before this happened. She's so high maintenance and sensitive and has autism. She's verbal. She's not pulling. No ringworm. This mama's heart is breaking for my little girl.

****UPDATE****

So she's been prescribed iron recently because her iron was low. Well, last night her dad looked it up and showed that yes, low iron can cause hair loss, but too much iron can cause hair loss as well and be poisonous and fatal. He's convinced I gave her too much, and it's possible it could have been a typo on the script because it was a smaller bottle and the amount was 5 ml a day. It didn't start happening until about a week or so after I gave her this iron liquid...

⭐⭐⭐SECOND UPDATE⭐⭐⭐

Well, after speaking with her pediatrician, the developmental doctor that prescribed the iron, the pharmacy, going to one ER in town, and about four days later, I went to our second ER, Peyton Manning Children's Hospital, which is my preferred children's hospital... so I thought...
No one wanted to do anything to get answers. Everyone kept saying, okay, well, referral to a dermatologist and alopecia and wait for my appointment in August. My gut was telling me something different. I went to Peyton Manning, and with refusal of labs, I went straight to Riley Children's Hospital. They agreed to do blood work. That doctor says...

Idk why no one will do blood work. I don't know why her doctor would prescribe her iron when she was fine. If I would have come here the first or second day of hair loss, I probably would not have done labs either. But considering she's lost more than half her hair in a week, it's worth checking out.

Come to find out, we don't have any answers yet besides something with her thyroid is going on. That's a huge window of options, but now with more labs, we're digging deeper and seeing what our route will be.

Still though, like why would she be given meds she doesn't need, and why would no one listen to me and take her labs? Even if I was crazy, at least I would have peace of mind and it wouldn't have been a big deal.

My little girl is tough. She's not scared of shots and blood work. Don't think you're going to "traumatize" her because you need to poke her with a needle. Losing all her hair in a week is traumatizing.

Any dollar will help. If not, please share, and thank you for your support.
