Help Restore Jess's Cherished Family Legacy-Hurricane Helene

One of my friends a co-worker recently went through Hurricane Helene and needs some help.

She is in St. Pete Beach Florida and the house has NEVER flooded this badly. She had over 5 feet of storm surge come into her house. She has lost nearly everything.

This is not just any house this has been in her family since 1951. Jess’s grandparents bought the house and raised their family in it, this family home was passed down to her father and then 2 years ago passed down to her.

She had been doing some simple remodeling over the past two years to make it “her home”. If many of you do not know, in Florida insurance rates are high and when you live in a flood zone A they can be astronomically high and completely unaffordable with a single income. The house will have to be brought down to the studs to remove the damage from the water. Luckily Jess and her kitty were able to evacuate to her boyfriend’s apartment which is not in a flood zone. She had taken some items with her but everything else is gone, furniture, clothes, personal items, appliances, etc. Jess is always the first one to volunteer to help at the office or in personal life, she has offered to help pet sit for co-workers on numerous occasions.

Any amount that you can spare to donate would be great so we can help Jess rebuild her family home and get her through this tough time. All of us are praying for everyone who has been affected by this deadly hurricane not just here in Florida but for those in GA, SC, VA, and especially in NC.
