My friend Jayne has had a major hardship. Rain last Saturday into Sunday, 12.5 inches here in Menomonee Falls, WI. She woke up because she heard a crash downstairs and there was 3-4 feet of water in the basement. Her fiancé Erik later found out it was sewer water. They had 2 sump pumps and both pumps failed because of all the water. They have flood insurance but it is not covered. They have carpet damage all has to be torn out. Part of the floor needs to be taken out, new drywall, multiply times to disinfect. They have lost their washer, dryer, water heater, furnace and nothing down there can be saved. They have lost sentimental items memorable photo albums, all Christmas decorations, all of their good kitchen items, as in a panini maker, tortilla press, a decent blender, food processor etc. They are in a financial burden and have spent what they had for savings on the dumpster, cleaning supplies, sump pumps, etc. They are 2 months in of work to do. Mold is a concern for it is contaminating their items and home. Erik her fiancé and Jayne are struggling physically and mentally. Anything you can give will help immensely even 10$ or 20$ adds up to give them some peace of mind.
