My name is Justin Cheng. I have operated Jane Laundromat, located at 50 8th Avenue, New York, NY 10014, since 2008. We have always been an honest and sincere business. We have consistently delivered excellent service to all of our customers over the past 14 years. For example, when it rains, we cover our customers’ clothes instead of ourselves. That is why we are committed to staying on top in the industry. We made it through Hurricane Sandy in 2012, by continuing to operate our business when there was no power. During that time, we paid for and transferred our customers’ clothes to other stores to ensure prompt delivery. We have always strived in not inconveniencing our customers. We also survived COVID-19 in 2020, even though our business decreased 70%, we continued to to serve our loyal customers. Our business did not have much profit during Covid-19. We are now faced with a new challenge, as our business suffered a fire on Thursday, May 4th. There is a lot of damage to our machines and overall facility. The insurance company will only pay 30% of the costs to repair the machines. We continued to operate the following four days by driving the clothes to other stores to be rewashed and ready in time for our customers. Once all of our customers received their clothes, we had to shut down until our facility is restored to operating condition. So we are asking our neighborhood to help our business get rebuilt and opened as soon as possible in order to once again serve our customers.
