My name is Veroneque. As you are aware, Jamaica has been devastated by Hurricane Melissa. The hurricane left a trail of destruction in Saint Elizabeth, where I grew up.

The community that moulded me, and the surrounding communities - needs our help. These communities consist of primarily subsistence farmers whose homes have destroyed and their livelihoods lost. People are displaced from their homes.

The goal is to assist these people with essential supplies to help them rebuild their lives and restore hope for those who are in need so they can emerge stronger from the devastation of Hurricane Melissa.

There are challenges ahead and it will require resilience and determination, but I have no doubt that these communities will emerge stronger, because the spirits of the people remain unbroken.

Every contribution, big or small will go towards relief efforts.
