The Salman Family's Message:
As a family (Mom, Dad, and Maryam), we have lost so much during these difficult times. We lost our home, Dad has lost his job, and just two and a half months ago, we lost a little baby before we even had the chance to celebrate her life because of fear, hunger, and harsh circumstances. Mom was also forced to stop her university education. But, Alhamdulilah, we continue to hold on.
Because of the extremely difficult situation our family is facing, we decided to launch a GoFundMe to help save our family's life and provide the basic necessities for us to survive. We also want to secure a better future for our daughter Maryam, who is 5 years old, and has been deprived of education. We also hope to be able to continue my (Mom's) university studies in general nursing outside Gaza, once the border opens and we can be in a safe place - away from fear, suffering, and the lack of the most basic necessities of life.
We are living in a tent under very difficult conditions, lacking the most basic necessities of a dignified life. Every day we live in constant fear and terror. Thee days, we are suffering from hunger - there is no food or clean water available. We survive on a few canned goods. We have endured so much in this war, and we truly deserve a better life and a better future for ourselves and our little daughter.
At the moment, we are unable to return to our area in northern Gaza due to the lack of any infrastructure or essential services. Our home has been completely destroyed and the area is extremely dangerous.
