In the wake of the recent hurricane, many families in our country are facing unimaginable loss — homes damaged, belongings destroyed, and basic necessities gone. But in times like these, we come together to show the power of compassion and unity. We're launching a Hurricane Relief Fundraiser to help those affected get back on their feet.

Most persons have been donating necessities such as food, clothing, and hygiene items — and for that, we are truly grateful. Standing in our field, however, we wanted to do something a little different to help.

We are seeking monetary donations, as well as mobile support — that is, persons with trucks, chain saws, tractors, and similar equipment. We are also calling on skilled persons such as construction workers, plumbers, painters, carpenters, and others who are willing to volunteer their time and skills.

In addition, we welcome building materials such as sand, steel, cement, blocks, and other supplies that can assist in the rebuilding process.

Our goal is to join in the clean-up efforts and help rebuild what was lost. While we may not be able to construct full two- or three-bedroom homes, we plan to start by building studio units for persons in need. These units will be designed so families can later add on and expand as they rebuild their lives.

We need your help — not only through financial and material donations but also through hands-on labour and community support.
