Help My Brother and His Community Rebuild After the North Carolina Floods

Dear Friends, Family, and Supporters,

I’m writing from Texas, heartbroken as I watch the devastation unfold back in North Carolina. My brother and his family have experienced an overwhelming loss due to the recent floods. Although their home they were selling is still standing, it was empty and everything they owned was being stored at another home (the home pictured above) and it was all swept away, so no insurance coverage for everything stored there. Their barn was flooded losing all essential supplies, and even his chickens, along with all their feed and hay. The barn where they stored everything is now empty.

In addition to the loss of personal belongings, the flood has left them with significant property damage. Their driveway has been completely washed away, cutting off access, and trees are down all over the property. They are facing the enormous task of clearing the land and rebuilding what was lost, but they can’t do it alone.

What’s even more heartbreaking is that their entire community has been hit hard. These are kind, hardworking people who are now trying to recover from this disaster, and my brother wants to help his neighbors too.

From here in Texas, I’m doing what I can to support them, but I’m asking for your help too. Any donations or shares of this message will go a long way. Your generosity will help my brother and his family recover, restore access to their home, and offer much-needed support to their community.

I know times are tough for many, but even the smallest contribution can make a difference. Thank you for considering helping my family and their neighbors in this time of need. I can’t even imagine how they must be feeling right now, dealing with the loss, but also fear of what comes next or when help might get there or how bad it could get. I’m praying they get what they need as far as food and water before they run out. Being so far away, this is the only thing I can think of to try and help them. I have no idea what all they are dealing with, but want to make sure they at least have some money to get what they need when they finally get access to do so.
