Help Restore Hope After a Devastating House Fire

Dear friends, family, and community,

A devastating house fire struck the cherished home of Carl and Rachel Wilczynski, located in Mocanaqua, PA, leaving them with nothing but the clothes on their backs. We are starting this GoFundMe campaign to rally support and help them restore their lives during this incredibly challenging time.

Carl, a lifelong resident of the area, had grown up in this home and raised his children there alongside Rachel. The house held countless precious memories and sentimental items that can never be replaced. Tragically, on June 1, 2023, Carl was sitting in his living room when he heard his loyal companion, Crosby the dog, barking incessantly. He came to discover that the back porch was engulfed in flames. With a brave and heavy heart, Carl attempted to put the fire out with an extinguisher but it was spreading too quickly. He immediately exited the house through the front porch, ensuring the safety of Crosby in his arms. As he watched their beloved home and everything within it succumb to the blaze, he felt helpless.

Now, Carl and Rachel find themselves with nothing. The fire has left them without their home, clothing, and the basic necessities we often take for granted. While we understand that no amount of money can replace the sentimental value of their lost possessions, we believe that with the support and collective effort of our caring community, we can alleviate some of the financial burdens that accompany such a devastating loss.
