Help Restore Home&Safety After Hurricane Helene for Kids,PLZ

Please Help Keep Lights ON for a Child with unstable oxygen control and Replace Boiler that was damaged during Hurricane Helene & caught fire on 4/15/25 (911 verifiable)

Hi everyone, My name is Mila (Ludmila) and I am writing on behalf of my family that is currently going through challenging times and reaching out during these overwhelming times because my family won’t make it without your help.

When Hurricane Helene swept through knocking power & trees down on 9/27/24 in Spartanburg, SC, it damaged multiple things in and on of our house, including our boiler that began acting weird as soon as we got our power back on a week later. In addition, my husband was injured during the same storm, because he was coming home from work. Despite reaching out all over for assistance, promised help never arrived. 2 weeks ago on 4/15/25, the boiler finally gave out because it caught on fire, leaving us without hot water to bathe my children or meet other basic needs for them.

To make matters worse, we’ve also been slammed with a $2,262.46 energy bill. If we can’t pay it inflexible Duke Energy will disconnect our lights on or after 4/30/25 & refuse to extend more time, leaving us in an even more difficult situation. Unfortunately, local resources and agencies, foundations and SC government offices have not been able to help us; they’ve recommended we set up this fundraiser instead. All of them, Red Cross, Salvation Army, Resilience and other state, county, churches and locals included. I tried a lot of venues before I turned here.

I'm asking for your support to replace our boiler, and help to cover our overdue energy bill, get washer & dryer that also broke, because they were on during hurricane (it is very expensive and very exhausting to do laundry outside home, plus time consuming, twice I almost fainted there, probably because of the heat or vapor). All help is asked for sake of my little children and restore a safe and comfortable environment for them. Every donation, no matter how small, will make a significant difference and bring us closer to getting back on our feet.

Due to my cancer, I am very limited to what I can do outside home. My younger boy requires my constant attention: his oxygen and heart rates are very unstable and loosing electricity and access to power may cause my Daniel’s demise. His health is very fragile. Michael has condition that requires every other day bath, but since the fire on 4/15/25 he only had and has sponge and sprinkle bath, but as soon as Duke Energy will disconnect us, we will loose that as well. All I care is get my children their basic needs which should not be a luxury and accessible to all (simple warm bath in a tub & cooler air during hot weather. After careful considerations, another dead end in the area we live in and after prayers, I understood: G-d gave His blessing and it is time to publish our story. People who helped I mean who will help, they will NEVER loose protection of G-d. I wish I could explain what I mean by that but in due time you will understand. G-d always protects people who lives & trying to serve Lord with all their hearts or simply because you and people like you are simply kind and compassionate.

To be honest, a thought, that everything will melt in my fridge again doesn’t make me feel pleasant :). After all I am human being with certain gifts from G-d but not when it applies to me :).

No amount is too small, remember widow, who put her last penny she had but Lord said she gave more to G-d than those who put money out of wealth. God values heart and care and He is more than willing to protect those who still knows what compassion is and protect for generations to come, but doesn’t promise easy life.
