Help Restore Haley's Home; She Lost Everything
Donation protected
"I lost everything."
These were the only words Haley Plum could stammer out after Hurricane Helene crashed through her doors and immersed her entire house in 3-feet of seawater and debris.
Haley is only 29 years old. She so proudly scrimped and saved to buy this house - now in ruins.
A video on Tik Tok with ominous music, she posted the devastation, everything in her house smashed into a pile in the corner, the washing machine on its side. Watermarks on the once pristine white walls. Her bed a soaking mess. Bookshelves swollen with water and soaked books. Cabinets forced open with their melted contents spilled on the carpets and floors.
Her next post: a video showing all her furniture and belongings tossed out on the curb, one of many houses with their belongings piled high.
"It's surreal seeing everything you own destroyed."
I am Haley's employer. We happen to be product publicists, and it occurred to me that we might reach out to all the mattress companies, housewares, makers of rugs, carpets, furniture and see if we can help get her back on her feet.
Many of you know Haley, as our Director of Business Development - normally ebullient and ever-positive. She is the one who has gifted so many product companies with access to our press contacts. We are now calling on you to donate anything you can to this beautiful young woman's recovery.
My name is Alyson Dutch, founder of Brown + Dutch Public Relations and Consumer Product Events.

With heartfelt gratitude, thank you.
