Habiba Hassan is a 37-year-old woman who lives alone. In 2012, she arrived in America, in Kentucky, and went in for a routine tonsil removal. After what was supposed to be a routine surgery, Habiba woke up with a feeding tube and a breathing tube. During the surgery, they damaged her airway and breathing due to complications. She then hired a lawyer, but due to her language barrier, her lawyer stalled and later told Habiba it was too late to file.
Now, Habiba lives in Columbus, Ohio and has the opportunity to get a surgery done in India to fix her airway and make it for an easier way of life. However, this treatment costs $30,000, which includes flight and treatment. Please help us help Habiba!
